Here’s a Nutrition Grown salad from the garden of Perfect Soil course student, Jennifer Wilson. Jenny wrote, “I am so excited about the nutritionally grown salads I have been able to make from my garden. They are beautiful and I feel energized after eating them.”

Groundbreaking Study:

Beyond the many nutrients raw greens supply to our bodies, a groundbreaking study in the Journal of Cell Science shows that the chlorophyll in greens can be used by mammalian cells to capture light energy from the sun.  In the past, it was thought that this was something only plants could do through the process of photosynthesis.

This article, Light-harvesting chlorophyll pigments enable mammalian mitochondria to capture photonic energy and produce ATP, comes from researchers at the Columbia University Medical Center.  Numerous experiments have been performed showing that chlorophyll metabolites “retain the ability to absorb light in the visible spectrum at wavelengths that can penetrate into animal tissues”.  Mammalian mitochondria utilize this light energy to create ATP (adenosine triphosphate). The researchers have also observed an increase in the lifespan of animals who are generating ATP in this way.

Is it any wonder that we enjoy sunning ourselves?  Have you ever seen animals laying stretched out in the sun and wondered why they were doing that, even when it seemed too hot?  Maybe we are now catching up with the “why”.

Think about a dog or a cat eating grass, especially when they don’t feel well.  They instinctively know the fresh greens can help them.

Biophotons:

Dr. Fritz-Albert Popp, a German biophysics researcher, has been studying biophotons for decades.  Biophotons are light energy emitted from living things.  Dr. Popp’s research has shown that light is emitted from human cells and that this light is used for communication.  Light energy communication is many times faster than chemical reactions, which have been central to the theory of biochemical cellular communications.  It has also been seen that light energy (photons) are necessary to initiate chemical reactions.

“There are about 100,000 chemical reactions happening in every cell each second. The chemical reaction can only happen if the molecule which is reacting is excited by a photon… Once the photon has excited a reaction it returns to the field and is available for more reactions… We are swimming in an ocean of light.”

Raw Foods:

Raw food diets can be powerfully healing.  Why?  Besides many nutrients and phytonutrients, plants also contain biophotons.  Studies show that when a plant or animal dies, light energy is released.  As opposed to cooked foods, eating well grown raw foods, with their undamaged molecules and coherent light energy, can be especially healing.

Dr. Popp came to understand that DNA was the major source of light and biophoton emissions within our cells.  Furthermore, he found that DNA can send out many different frequencies which are instructions for our cells to follow.  This is how our bodies heal.

And Beyond:

The photon emissions go beyond our bodies to influence other beings.  For examples, communications within flocks of birds, schools of fish, and herds of horses may be explained by photon emissions.  As humans, perhaps our resonance, or lack thereof, with each other can also be explained by the coherency of our photon emissions.

So grow your Nutrition Grown™ garden, eat your absolutely fresh greens, and let your Light SHINE.
